While we certainly love each other a lot, we just might love pizza a bit more. So, we thought it would be most appropriate to have a low-key day-after brunch at our favorite pizzeria serving some truly authentic New Haven Apizza.
📆 When? Saturday, November 9th. Pop by for a bit anytime between 11:00 AM CST and 2:00 PM CST for a slice and a drink!
📍 Where? Piece Brewery and Pizzeria (only a 2 minute walk if you’re staying at The Robey!)
🍕 What? We’ll be ordering a plethora of pizzas, with some gluten friendly and vegan options as well! Also, beer!
📝 Details: We’ll have just seen all of you the night prior for our wedding, so please don’t feel any pressure to come or stay for the entire time we’re there. We just wanted to have a space to be together one more time before the weekend is over. We’d love to eat a slice and say hello if you can pop by!
Not only does Piece Pizza have our favorite pizza in the city, but it’s also in a great neighborhood in Chicago: Wicker Park / Bucktown. When you’re ready to leave, there’s plenty to do right from Piece Pizza:
- Explore Wicker Park / Bucktown. There are lots of great restaurants, bars, and stores to shop at within walking distance of Piece. Some of our favorite spots nearby include: Myopic Books (a very cute used bookstore with many books), Neighborly (a cute pop-up shop selling a bunch of local Chicago goods), Mindy’s Bakery (amazing savory and sweet selections with some famous hot chocolate), Reckless Records (why not grab some more vinyl?!), and just a ton more super cool shops all along Milwaukee Avenue and North Avenue.
- Walk the 606. Just a 5-minute walk from Piece is the 606, an elevated 3-mile walking trail offering scenic views of Chicago. It’s perfect for exploring new neighborhoods, seeing beautiful flowers, and getting a nice walk in!
- Hop on the blue line. A quick 2-minute walk from Piece is the Blue Line, which connects you from O’Hare Airport to the heart of Downtown Chicago. In just 15 minutes, you can be downtown exploring the city, going on an architecture river cruise, and more. Check out our page detailing fun things to do in Chicago, almost all of which are right off a CTA train stop.
