Dress code? Theme? Vibe?
Think comfortable, relaxed, and fun! No need to wear a tux or fancy gown – if you’ve got a cool suit, a fun dress, or (even better) your favorite nice sweater (this is Nate’s preference), that’ll be great! We’d love it if you wear something nice that makes you feel good! Just come ready to eat, drink, and have a good time! :)
What are the day-of details?
Technically the ceremony will begin at 6:15 PM CST, but be sure to get there by 6:00 PM CST to enjoy a welcome beer and say hi to us! The reception will conclude by 11:59 PM CST.
There is no dedicated parking lot at the venue, and while there is street parking on Milwaukee, it’s usually pretty packed on a Friday night. We highly recommend taking the CTA blue line (the California stop is a <3 minute walk to Revolution Brewpub – 2 if you can time the traffic lights just right), reserving parking ahead of time, Uber/Lyft-ing, or even walking (if you love taking as long of walks as we do).
Once you arrive at the Brewpub, you can check in with the host at the front – the wedding will be held on the second floor. You can’t miss the stairs on the right!
Can I still RSVP?
Unfortunately, the deadline to RSVP was October 11th, 2024. We’ve let our venue know the final guest count, which means we are unable to accept any new RSVPs at this time.
I can no longer make it – how do I un-RSVP?
It happens – you can un-RSVP by emailing us at nateandjenjones@gmail.com. The sooner you can let us know you won’t be able to attend, the better.
What will the weather be like?
Predicting weather in Chicago is notoriously impossible – it’s usually a bit of a mixed bag in Chicago in November. It could be cool and crisp or a touch on the chillier side, but it can also be completely unpredictable. But Nate is a data person, so according to the National Weather Service, the average historical temperature for November 8th is 44.5°F. We would say just bring a good jacket (and some gloves if you want to be truly comfortable) for exploring the city and you’ll be more than fine! No worries about the weather during the actual ceremony and reception, though – they’re both indoors! :)
Besides your wedding, is there anything else I should do while in Chicago?
Yes! In fact, we have a whole page on our website with some of our recommendations of things to do in Chicago the weekend of our wedding.
Are there any day after plans?
Yes – some morning pizza at Piece Pizza! See the page here for more details.
Why is your wedding on a Friday?
TL;DR Version – We know, we really tried, but the Chicago Marathon made flights and hotels triple the price. It just didn’t feel fair to ask our guests to spend ~$2,000 each just to be able to attend our wedding, so we found a Friday date instead that avoided this premium.
Long Version – read the full page here that documents the journey from our Saturday date to our Friday date!
